D.P. Police - Landsberg am Lech
of the Displaced Persons Camp in Landsberg. This was established by the U.S. Army on 9 May 1945 in the Saarburg Barracks and gave home to many of the Jewish Survivors of the Landsberg Concentration Camps. By the end of 1945, approximately 7,000 people were housed there. After the foundation of Israel, it became more of a transit Camp and up to the resolution on November 1, 1950 it housed approximately 23,000 Jewish DPs.
