The Brigade was formed in 1948 as an administrative Unit for the following Regiments:
The Royal Norfolk Regiment - 1959
The Suffolk Regiment - 1959
The
Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Regiment - 1958
The Essex Regiment -
1958
The Northamptonshire Regiment - 1960
In 1968 The Brigade was united
with the Fusiliers and Home Counties Brigades to form the Queen's
Division.
